Design a visit with the help of museum staff and volunteers to integrate experiential learning into your syllabus. Whether you are practicing observation skills, flexing your creative writing chops, or exploring historical narratives and power structures, a guided tour is an excellent way to achieve your learning goals. Check out our temporary exhibitions to get inspired.

Book online now, call (231)995-1595, or email to schedule. Please allow for at least 3 weeks' notice when scheduling a tour to allow for volunteers to sign up for your group. Plan for 1 to 3 hours for your visit.


Admission for NMC students and faculty is free. For scheduled tours of college students from outside institutions, admission is $4 per student, $5 per student if the tour is guided by a docent. Faculty and staff are free admission on tours. See additional admissions policies here.
