The Dennos Museum Center
Ghost Layers and Color Washes Workshop with Katie Pasquini Masopust

Fantasy Forest by Katie PasquiniSaturday, October 6, 2012, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Cost:  $100 for non-members, $80 for JRAC or Dennos members, plus a material fee of $11 due to the instructor the day of the class

Location: Charlevoix Public Library, Charlevoix, MI

Your quilts will gain an air of mystery with Katie's innovative 3-step technique for adding layers of visual interest to representational quilts. Simple steps will take your quilts to a new artful level!

1. A photograph is used for the base design.

2. Add a Ghost layer or floating design, (transparency) complimentary or in opposition to the first layer.

3. Add additional colors by following a painted water color wash (a painting on paper)

These three layers combined will create an in-depth and illusionary design.

Register online here or by calling (231) 995-1573.

NOTE: This wokshop will take place at the Charlevoix Library, and not at the Dennos Museum Center
