The Feral Housewife's Introduction to Paper Collage

Mary Beth Acosta Collage WorkshopSaturday, February 4, 2012, 9:00 – 12:00 

Local collage artist, Mary Beth Acosta, will introduce participants to collage composition and construction.  Using simple supplies and tools, we will tap into the creative potential of the paper collage.Please spend some time prior to the workshop selecting an assortment of potential images for your piece.  Multiple images and colors are particularly useful.

This workshop is the result of a partnership between the Dennos Museum Center and the Art Center Traverse City and is offered in conjunction with the Northwest Michigan Juried Exhibition. 

Participant Fees: $65 for Museum and Art Center members, $80 for non-members

  • Small, sharp scissors, like Fiskars Embroidery Scissors
  • Any transparent glue stick
  • Magazines
  • Photos
  • Old ephemera
  • Heavy book for pressing
  • Wax Paper
  • Wooden Spoon for burnishing waxed paper
