Sunday, September 26, 2010, 3:00 pmThe Miss America Competition is the American festival honoring women featured in the book, Celebrating Women, which explores the ins and outs of the competition. In this presentation the current Miss Michigan, Katie LaRoche, will speak about her experience in the Miss Michigan and Miss America competitions, what made that meaningful to her, and what the Miss American competitions say to us about what we value in women. She will also discuss her platform issue, human trafficking of women.
