The Dennos Museum Center

Free Admission to Active Duty Military Personnel

Active duty military personnel and their families can enjoy free admission to the Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College all summer long thanks to a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, a non-profit organization supporting military families.

Blue Star Museums is a nationwide effort to offer free museum admission to active duty members of all U.S. military service branches between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The Dennos is one of more than 600 museums participating nationwide.

"We're pleased to offer this small token of appreciation to military families for their service and sacrifice," said Gene Jenneman. "From our hands-on Discovery Gallery for children to our renowned Inuit art collection to several special exhibitions, there is plenty for families to see and do at The Dennos all summer long."

To take advantage of Blue Star Museums, active duty personnel need only present valid military identification at the front desk of The Dennos at the time of their visit. Up to five family members may also receive free admission.
