The Horse Boy: Free Screening

The Horse BoyThursday, April 1, 2010, 7:00 pm

On Thursday, April 1 at 7:00 pm, CMU Public Television introduces the Community Cinema series at Dennos Museum on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College with the film The Horse Boy. Community Cinema is a community outreach project of CMU Public Television and the Dennos Museum Center.

How far would you travel to heal someone you love? For one Texas couple, it means a spiritual journey halfway around the world to Mongolia. When their son is diagnosed with autism, they seek the best treatments but nothing works... Until they discover their son's connection to horses and the effect it has on him. Part travel adventure and shamanic quest, this is the story of how one family found a gateway into understanding their son's life.

This screening event is part of the ITVS (Independent Television Service) Community Cinema program. Free screenings of Independent Lens films will be held the first Thursday of the month beginning January 2010 through June 2010.
