Free Young At Heart Screening

On Thursday, February 4 at 7:00 pm, CMU Public Television introduces the Community Cinema series at Dennos Museum on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College with the film Young at Heart. Community Cinema is a community outreach project of CMU Public Television and the Dennos Museum Center.

Get ready to rock with the most entertaining golden oldies you will ever meet in the senior citizen's choir Young@Heart. With a show only weeks away, they must learn a slate of new songs ranging from James Brown to Coldplay. The chorus' director leads them through tough rehearsals, proving that rock and roll can be hard work--especially if you're hard of hearing! Climaxing in a triumphant performance, their inspiring story celebrates the unbreakable bonds of friendship and the life-affirming power of music.

This screening event is part of the ITVS (Independent Television Service) Community Cinema program. Free screenings of Independent Lens films will be held the first Thursday of the month beginning January 2010 through June 2010.
