Mister Rogers' Neighborhood - A Hands-On Exhibit
Exhibit Dates: October 8, 2005 - January 8, 2006
Description: Created by The Pittsburgh Children's Museum in collaboration with Family Communications and sponsored by a generous grant from the Grable Foundation. The exhibit invites children and families to explore, imagine, and create in a replica of Mister Rogers' television house and Neighborhood of Make-Believe.
Try on a sweater, just like Mister Rogers', and explore the ways you're growing-inside and out. Drive the Neighborhood Trolley. Spend a quiet moment in Daniel's clock. Make your own music in the Museum-Go-Round. Dress up and hold court in King Friday XIII's castle.
For more than 30 years, Fred Rogers has helped young and old alike value their uniqueness, appreciate others, and marvel at the wonders of the world around them. This exhibit extends the timeless messages of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood through an engaging hands-on experience.
