Figurative Painting from the Museum's Collection

The contemporary painters in this exhibition are all concerned with the human figure. The human figure has long been of interest to artists, not only for rendering likenesses, but also to tell stories and express emotion. Themes explored through these paintings include the artist's relationship to their model, abstraction, movement, and narrative.
